It is EDM cut and CNC machined from solid steel. The case is hardened to ensure trouble free operation and is compatible with the Savage 10 short action 4.275″ spacing, 4.4″ spacing, 11, 110, 111, 112, 114, 116, 116C, 12, 14, and 16
